Lawn Care in Rochester, MI
A Seasonal Lawn Care Program With a Checkup Every Visit
Most NuGreen lawn care customers are on a seasonal application program designed to feed the lawn, control weeds, and address common problems like grubs and insects. We visit through the growing season and keep an eye on what your lawn needs next.
What sets the program apart is the NuGreen Lawn Checkup. Before we treat, we walk the lawn and look for weeds, grubs, lawn insects, fungus, watering issues, and thin turf. Then we leave notes on what we found and what we recommend.

How Lawn Care Works Through the Season
Early Spring
Wake the lawn up with feeding and put down crabgrass prevention before soil temperatures climb.
Late Spring
Keep feeding active growth and spot treat dandelions, clover, and other broadleaf weeds as they appear.
Summer
Watch for heat stress, watering problems, grubs, and fungus, and adjust the plan to what the lawn is showing.
Fall
Feed for root growth and recovery heading into winter, and recommend aeration or overseeding where turf is thin.
Why It Matters for Michigan Lawns
Michigan lawns go from cold, wet springs to hot, dry stretches in July and August, then back to cool weather in fall. A lawn that's fed and treated on the right timing handles those swings much better than one that gets a single application and nothing else.
Many lawns in the Rochester area also sit on clay-heavy soil that compacts and holds water. That's why we check the lawn on every visit instead of applying the same thing everywhere.
