Weed Control in Rochester, MI
Targeted Weed Control, Timed to the Season
NuGreen weed control uses targeted pre-emergent and post-emergent treatments to keep dandelion, clover, crabgrass, and other broadleaf weeds out of your turf.
We don't blanket the whole yard with product every visit. During the NuGreen Lawn Checkup we look at where weeds are breaking through and why, then treat those areas and work on the thin turf that let them in.

How Weed Control Works Through the Season
Early Spring
Pre-emergent control goes down before crabgrass seeds germinate as the soil warms.
Late Spring
Dandelions and other broadleaf weeds flower. We spot treat them as they appear.
Summer
We watch for crabgrass and clover breakthrough in thin or stressed areas and treat as needed.
Fall
Fall is a strong time to treat perennial broadleaf weeds, and thickening the turf now means fewer weeds next spring.
Why Weed Control Matters in Michigan
Weeds fill in wherever turf is thin. In Michigan that usually means spots stressed by summer heat, compacted clay soil, shade, or uneven watering.
Timing matters as much as product. Crabgrass prevention only works if it's down before seeds germinate, so we plan around the season, not a fixed calendar date.
